Always with a hand and voice in music starting at age 6, Al Grigg has been lucky enough to bring joy and smiles to people worldwide thru music, both original songs and other people’s great songs. In the beginning, he was a part of a very original indie band “The Flying Dogs of Jupiter” releasing a self-produced album in 1975 credited by quite a few as being on the vanguard of indie production.
As a performing artist, Al’s skills were honed with a dynamic 50s/60s act “Juke Box Gold” that opened shows for the Platters, Drifters, Johnny Maestro, The Five Satins – 25+ acts at major NJ/NY venues.
Beginning in 2000, Al was fortunate to become a musical vagabond, moving to such diverse places as Amsterdam, Seoul, and Sydney. Al performed with a variety of regional bands and played extensively on 3 continents! Returning to the US in 2010, he formed a band that was soon to become “The Fine Line”. The band, co-led with singer and songwriter Efrat Sharon, still performs a regular schedule throughout the NJ/NY area. Al also keeps a busy solo schedule that includes touring Europe and Asia.
Al’s time in music has also provided him with the opportunity to become a professional Recording Engineer and owner of Jovian Records and Red Spot Studios producing.
