MicahMicah’s music is a touch of folk mixed with some soul and topped off with a little bit of heartbreak. The last 3 years have brought him coast to coast and back again playing clubs, colleges, living rooms and everything in between.

With his strong affinity for bacon and flannel, some have deemed him the Ron Swanson of singer-songwriters. Picture the soulful powerhouse vocals of John Legend behind a guitar with a laid back style like Ray LaMontagne.

Acoustic guitar and bass, and tight harmony

chip-mergott-and alan leboeufAlan LeBoeuf and Chip Mergott return to Stangl Stage reuniting their popular acoustic guitar and bass, and tight harmony. Their specialty has long been the best of the 60s and 70s – Beatles, Simon and Garfunkel, James Taylor, etc.

Alan has performed over 400 times as Paul McCartney in Broadway’s “Beatlemania” and as a member of Baillie and the Boys he sang on 7 top ten Country hits and performed at The Grand Ole Opry. Bonnie Raitt describes Chip as “one of my favorite songwriters.” With his wife Annie Bauerlein, he has performed at Philadelphia’s Folk Festival. He hosted the popular “Rhythm and News” radio show for years on WDVR.

brianna-nelsonBrianna Nelson is a singer songwriter who has been writing and performing original music since 2012. In 2014, Brianna was cast on The Voice Season 6 – Blind Auditions. The friends she made, the experience she gained during that time has fueled the flame she loves, music.

Her acoustic performances quickly convey a maturity well beyond her sixteen years with rich, smoky vocals and captivating lyrics.

kim brewer2The Kim Brewer Band has been performing within western NJ and eastern PA bars, clubs, and festivals for the last few years. They recently recorded a twelve-song album of favorite blues songs that are performed live at their shows. The love of blues music and friendship keeps this group performing whenever possible.

Jocelyn Shannon.The Jocelyn Shannon Quintet is Jocelyn Shannon-voice, Mark Cohn-piano, Greg Zwiebel-bass, Ed Pillion-drums, Tom Bender-trumpet & flugelhorn. Jocelyn Shannon previously sang in The Wavelength Jazz Ensemble and has sung a variety of musical genres. Mark Cohn is a veteran jazz pianist, flutist and composer. Greg Zwiebel has played upright and electric in a number of jazz, funk, rock and fusion projects. Ed Pillion is a professional drummer/percussionist well versed in multipled genres. Tom Bender is a trumpeter/arranger/composer who’s shared the stage with the likes of Hank Mobley, Jaco Pastorius, Lew Soloff and was a student of Pat Martino, Adolph Sandole and Manny Albam. Combined, their talents create a distinctive, compelling sound.

The Matt Gordeuk Quartet plays straight ahead jazz with energy and intensity. The quartet plays compositions of the Great American Songbook, as well as compositions for the 50’s and 60’s, covering the bebop and hard bop styles of jazz. Guitarist and leader Matt Gordeuk currently attends Mason Gross School of the Arts of Rutgers University, where he studies with legendary guitarist Vic Juris.

amy-wardSinger/Songwriter/Teacher, Amy Ward-Wurst delivers her music with a Pop/Rock/Soul sound. A graduate of Berklee College of Music, Amy has had hundreds of songs air in various feature films and TV shows in the United States, Canada, and Europe on CBS, ABC, FOX, FX, USA, The WB, and Lifetime.

Amy has performed at such venues as: Madison Square Garden, Shea Stadium, and also opened for the Dave Matthews band. She has been teaching music in the New York City area for 10+ years, as well as directing musicals and hosting Piano/Vocal recitals.

Senior student and jazz guitarist Evan Wright is one of 32 students from across the country selected for the Grammy Foundation’s Grammy Camp Jazz Session Program. Evan will be accompanied by Central graduates, keyboardist Adam Cogen and drummer Jake Marconi.

Russell NorkevichNew Jersey songwriter, Russell Norkevich, offers his own brand of piano driven song. He is musically influenced by the likes of Elton John, Brian Wilson, Bob Dylan, Nina Simone and the Beatles. He has opened for Grammy Award winning singer and songwriter Bill Miller and was chosen as one of Cafe Improv’s Best of 2009.
